A holiday on the Farmhouse Villa Pagnana, creates a very special atmosphere for anybody that wants to find a way of relaxing and get away from the monotony of city life. This atmosphere on our farm is particularly intense, enhanced by the incredible scenery around it, where ancient woods alternate with vineyards and olive grows.

The Villa Pagnana is situated in the heart of the Florentine Hills, only 10 miles from Florence at an altitude between 300 to 500 meters above sea level. The estate is made up of roughly 250 hectacres of which 55 are dedicated to olive groves, 30 to vineyards and the rest to wheat and woods of oaks and cypresses.

The Farmhouse stands on the hills near Florence (only 20 minutes driving from Florence), close to the place that was for centuries,  the Cradle of the Renaissance and of the world’s cultural history.

The Villa was an ancient roman settlement, in the XII century, then it was transformed by the Longobards into a fortified sighting tower which is now the very heart of the main villa. Today, hospitality is offered in beautiful apartments located in the various Villas of the Estate, which have been lovingly restored respecting typical Tuscan architectural elements.

From Florence to Villa Pagnana it's just a short trip but the diversity of the countryside appears never ending. Small parish churches and monasteries alternate with the villas and castles of nobile Florentine families.

The estate is less than 2 miles from the village of Rignano sull'Arno, an attractive Medieval village where you will find many shops, banks, markets, several very good restaurants, and a shopping center. In Rignano sull'Arno there is frequent Train Service to the center of Florence. The Train takes about 20 minutes to get to Florence and is an easy way to travel for those who do not wish to take their car into the city.

This location is ideal for those wishing to visit Florence and all its glories, while at the same time experiencing the quiet and tranquility of a rural setting away from the noise and bustle of the city.

The Farmhouse Villa Pagnana is a short distance from the most famous towns of Tuscany: Siena, Greve-in-Chianti, San Gimignano, Montalcino, Volterra, Vinci, Lucca, Pisa, Arezzo, Cortona.

In the village of Leccio (few miles away), you'll find the Mall Shopping Center, where the Outlets of Gucci, Ferragamo, Armani, Valentino, Prada, Zegna, YSL, Dolce & Gabbana, Tod's are settled.

At sunset the view of the city from the hilltops, like a picture postcard, with the river Arno winding through it, tinted with the colours of the sun, is unforgettable.

How to Reach VILLA PAGNANA:

From Firenze: Frenze Sud Exit (A1 Motorway), follow the sign for Bagno a Ripoli.  Then take the Rosano/Pontassieve road. After 11 km turn right for Rosano. After going through the town take the first turn on the left (sign for Rignano sull'Arno). Keep on this road for 5-6 km until you get to the Villa Pagnana.

From Rome: Autostrada (Highway) AUTOSOLE -A1- Exit "Incisa". Follow signs for Pontassieve, Leccio, S.Clemente, Rignano sull'Arno, Bombone, Villa Pagnana.

From Pisa Airport: After exiting the airport follow the blue signs for "Firenze" (Florence). Ignore the green autostrada sign for Firenze. Continue along this highway for approximately 70 km where you will follow a motorway sign "A1-Roma" until the "Firenze Sud" exit. Follow signs for Bagno a Ripoli, Vallina, Rosano, Volognano, Torri, VillaPagnana.

From Milan: Autostrada (Highway)AUTOSOLE -A1- Exit "Firenze Sud". Follow signs for Bagno a Ripoli, Vallina, Rosano, Volognano, Torri, VillaPagnana.

By Train: There are many connections from the Firenze - "S.M. Novella" train station for the train station of Rignano sull'Arno.
